The interview process began with a phone conversation with the Director, followed by the hiring manager. Next, there was a simple technical phone screen with an engineer, and then a take-home exercise, which was interesting.
On-site interviews included discussions with directors, recruiters, product managers, and engineers. The technical questions were fair and not overly difficult. I enjoyed answering the challenging cultural/behavioral questions, as I'm a big fan of the deck. The hiring manager provided a decision on the same day. Although it wasn't the right time for me, the feedback was appreciated and well-taken.
Ultimately, I left with more respect for Netflix than I had when I started. It's a great company with high-performing veterans in the software industry, and I truly enjoyed meeting everyone on my loop.
