The interview was pretty thorough.
I had some questions that I was allowed to take home, as they took longer than expected. This was unusual but a nice change.
I liked that the managers conducted the technical screening. This frees up time for the developers to focus on coding.
I would recommend, however, trying to spend more time getting to know candidates. Instead of trying to cram in lots of technical questions, allow more time for personal connection. The questions should be tailored to the time window if possible.
They had me do some HTML/CSS, like "make a progress bar," but mostly JavaScript questions, heavy on logical thinking. One question was "make a balanced parenthesis parser" in JS, which I had never done before. I also had one architectural interview, which was good since I am senior level.
