Site Reliability Engineer Interview Experience - Madrid, Spain

Process

I went through 6 interviews:

  • A screening call with a recruiter
  • A call with the engineering manager
  • Two technical interviews
  • Two additional interviews: one with the engineering director and another with a principal engineer.

Overall, the process was very slow (taking more than 1 month), but the people I talked to were nice. One of the interviews had to be rescheduled because the interviewer did not show up. The interview with the director was a bit rushed because he was leaving on holiday; it was scheduled with very short notice on a Friday afternoon, and he was late.

They scheduled an additional interview with a principal engineer because they were still not sure after five interviews.

I found the whole process too long, and the way they handled certain steps was not very professional.
