Great product that meets the market's current demand. Strong sales team. CEO is good at sales. Decent compensation.
For most of the folks, it's their first job or the longest job in their career. So there's no innovation from them, and they don't know the industry outside. The titles are so inflated that staff engineers do not care for quality as they never got enough exposure. Some of the engineers grew up too fast to be eligible for their levels.
Architects are mostly the first few employees who have written very poor code in the beginning and now blame others for their failures. Architects work in silos and don't drive any innovation across the company.
Some of the projects are politically driven and not well thought out.
Free lunches are not great. No feedback is asked about it.
Some senior engineers/architects are only networking experts and do not necessarily have good system design knowledge.
