3. The technical challenge with a 7-day limit: Here is the problem with this interview. How much time do you need to spend on the project? Do they need perfection? What is the level they need? It's not a problem only with New Relic; other companies have the same problem. They give you more or less a semi-nolimit time project, and you don't have any idea with what other candidates you are comparing, so it's better if you spend as much time as you can for the project.

Because if you spend 5 hours and another candidate spends 45 hours, probably your evaluation is totally biased because New Relic doesn't know the time effort you put into the project, and it should be a variable for the assessment.
