Process

I applied online on the NVIDIA website and received a call for an initial phone screen. There were two phone screens back-to-back.

The first interview covered ASIC, VLSI design, digital design, C coding, and more.

The second phone interview focused on computer architecture questions. Both interviews lasted approximately one hour.

Following these, I received a call for an onsite interview. The onsite consisted of six back-to-back interviews, each lasting about 45 minutes.

Questions were based on:

  • Computer architecture (cache, pipelining)
  • FSM design (sequence detector) and the Verilog code for it
  • Synthesis questions
  • Setup time and hold time
  • Circuit design
  • Puzzles

Questions

Design a FSM to detect 1011 and Verilog code.

What parameters affect cache performance?
