The interview process was confusing and lacked structure. I applied for several DevOps engineer positions at NVIDIA and was asked to interview, but none of the interactions were straightforward or concise.

Summary: Typically, the process involves four rounds: an interview with a director, then a manager, followed by a team lead, and concluding with LeetCode-style coding questions. However, this experience may differ significantly. In a previous DevOps role at NVIDIA, I encountered LeetCode questions right from the start.

I sought assistance from the recruiter, but they provided no insight into who I would be interviewing with or the technical depth of the interviews. The LeetCode questions at the end came as a significant surprise. For a DevOps role, LeetCode is generally rare due to the nature of the work. I was shocked to be asked medium-level questions and one hard question (four total) during the final round. This approach confused me and caught me off guard, as most companies incorporate LeetCode earlier in the interview process. NVIDIA seems to lack a clear understanding of how to effectively interview software candidates for DevOps roles, and this deficiency was evident.

Overall, I would not recommend this process. It took upwards of two months for a single position, with considerable time wasted waiting a week or more for the recruiter to "hear back from the team" before moving to the next step. The time I invested in interviewing and preparing was immense. My disappointment with how the process was handled makes me incredibly hesitant to consider joining the company again.
