The process was pretty straightforward. I had a 4-round interview.
The first was with the Manager of my team. This interview provided an overview of my background. He was very kind, and we had a good rapport. He detailed the problems that the team was tackling. One day later, they sent me an email stating I would move forward in the process. We then scheduled two more interviews with employees from my future team.
The second interview was with a Senior Solutions Architect who would work with me. He delved deep into the technical aspects of my background. We went point by point through my CV, discussing the algorithms and techniques I used and why. He was also very approachable and kind.
The third interviewer had a role based in Business and Sales. He was responsible for talking with clients and assessing suitability for the team. We discussed my personality and experience with client interaction. He also asked if I was comfortable with traveling for work and visiting clients, not just coding. After this interview, they sent me an email informing me I had advanced to the final online interview.
The fourth interview was with the National Principal Solution Architect. This one was challenging, as he asked me about hardware, architecture, deep learning, machine learning, personality, and background.
I felt that all the interviews went really well, based on the connection I had with each interviewer and their non-verbal cues.
They ultimately rejected me due to my visa situation. I am from Barcelona, Spain, and this position was in NYC. They needed someone for that month, but the US did not issue working visas until late 2020. However, it was a great experience and very insightful. This company is worth considering.
