Senior Verification Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Worst experience ever.

They took more than two weeks after the initial two phone screen interviews to schedule the onsite interview.

During the virtual onsite, all interviewers except for one had their cameras completely disabled, stating they had "camera issues" (which was hard to believe).

It felt as if they were not interested in the interview process itself.

The manager was not listening to the answers provided and was rude.

The interviews were easy, except for one round.

I suspect they already had someone else pre-planned for this position and were simply going through the formality.

Questions

Regarding work experience:

  • Implemented R&C using rand.
  • SV questions.
  • Verilog design question.
  • FIFO depth question.
  • Scoreboard implementation of a design.
  • MESI.
  • Linked list traversing question.

It appears C++ knowledge is needed, even if the position requires SV/UVM only.
