Reneged pay 2 weeks before start date
Software Developer Intern • Former Employee
Santa Clara, California, United States
January 16, 2021
Pros: - Extremely competent full-time staff.
- Good mentors.
- Lots of high-quality internal resources explaining how different aspects of the company work.
- Well-respected company. It's easy to get interviews at other top companies after working at Nvidia.
Cons: - Used COVID as an excuse to apply a 45% "cost of living adjustment" to my pay two weeks before my start date and after I had already accepted their offer. The cost of living in my city is not that much less than Santa Clara.
- "Top of pay-band" full-time return offer was underwhelming.
