Only work, no reward
Software Engineer • Current Employee
Santa Clara, California, United States
July 15, 2012
Pros: Work is good, there aren't that many management hassles. As an individual contributor, you get to work on the latest technology and learn a lot.
Cons: Career growth for employees is very slow, and good work is not noticed or rewarded as much. The performance bonus is ridiculous and downright insulting, especially when they say you are a top contributor on the team.

Great company with poor management
Software Engineer • Former Employee
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
May 16, 2024
Pros: - Best in class products
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan
- Benefits at 100% coverage
Cons: Work hours do not exist, thus it is not unusual to work 10+ hour days every day.
Poor performing managers abuse their teams, resulting in high turnover.
The same poor performing managers would rather hire, train, and fire until they find a unicorn instead of building their team up.
Company culture has not been the same since remote work started.
Office politics.
