Corporate culture: There is a lot of encouragement to go out there and learn things. You can dress as you like, and there are free snacks, etc.
Too much of an engineering focus, which leads to poor management. Technical leads are often disconnected from the technical aspects of the job or the managerial aspects of the job. Too many cases where one or the other is missing.
- Review development efforts and shelf some projects, add resources to others, and scrap others altogether.
- Ton of extremely brilliant people at the organization.
