Went through multiple rounds of interviews, including a coding challenge I completed successfully, with time to spare. The interviewer even smiled and said everything looked great. Then, I received a rejection the same day with zero feedback.
Let’s call it what it felt like: racism. I’m a white candidate, and it’s painfully clear that this company—like much of the Bay Area tech scene—has a strong bias in who they favor. If the roles were reversed, this would be a scandal.
If you’re not part of their preferred demographic, don’t waste your time. Six rounds of interviews just to be dismissed without cause? Completely disrespectful. Walk away.
