Best place I've worked
I get to work with some of the smartest and most talented people that I've met. We have great benefits, and a fun culture. I also enjoy solving real-world problems and getting to see the impact my work has directly on customers.
Most of the engineering managers are first-time managers, so it is currently a bit unstructured in terms of a longer-term career ladder. A VP of engineering is joining next month, so I think that will bring better structure to the organization.
Try to hire some more experienced engineering managers instead of always just promoting from within. I think some engineers are more valuable as individual contributors who are guided towards a management track.
