The hiring process is fairly standard for a tech company. You start with an online coding test, then a phone screen, and then a day-long onsite with three main interviews and a tour around the office. The interviews were: system design, technical questions, and behavioral.

Questions

The system design interview asked a question about how to design a trading system, or at least a part of it.

There was a multi-page written specification that you get a few minutes on your own to read through. Then, the interviewers return to work through your proposed solution.

Pros: Unbeatable work-life balance. Incredible coworkers who are extremely friendly and all geniuses. Perks are awesome. Work is interesting. Meetings aren't a waste of time.

Cons: The barista is only there 'til 12, which is a little bit of a struggle. It is a pain to install things on your machine, and permission issues are everywhere.
