Software Engineer Intern Interview Experience

Process

I received an invitation for a coding assessment the next day I applied. It is highly likely that the invitations were sent automatically to every applicant.

The whole assessment contains three parts:

  • Coding
  • CS Fundamentals Multiple Choice Questions
  • Logic/Strategic Games

Overall, it would take at least 3 hours in total to finish the whole process.

Questions

  • Coding:

    1. Built a lining system that sent notifications when customers finish checking out.
    2. Built a ticket selling system that matches ticket opening and buying needs in real time.
  • CS Fundamentals: Concepts of parallel programming, networking, data structures, and OOP.

  • Games: Developed arithmetic calculation, moving blocks, and shape guessing games. These are typical games seen in Google Play ads. While not difficult, they were time-consuming.
