  • During the period I have been there, initiative has become increasingly discouraged.
  • Although advertised as flat, the structure is very hierarchical.
  • A rush for doing things fast without understanding the outcomes.
  • A lot of politics.
Advice to Management

Talking from an IT perspective:

  • Hire people with a proven track record from outside the trading world (less slick talk, more knowledge).
  • Require employee feedback from the bottom up, so upper layers can also be reviewed.
  • Get rid of incumbents that hold significant positions without being qualified to do so.
