Applications Developer • Former Employee
Pros: There is no reason as such, apart from the fact that OBP is a good product, but the management, coding, and testing teams do not ensure quality-driven development of the product.
Cons: There are many [issues] regarding the OBP product team only:
1. Compensation to the employees is not done proportionately.
2. The manager doesn't even know his own module, and he manages it apparently.
3. The ones whom the management thinks would stay longer would be appraised (as in salary increment and awards), and the outstanding ones suffer because they have already delivered so much with utmost quality in no short time.
4. IITians do not accept their offers, even though you are a beginner in the coding domain. They get all the work done from the best ones like you and know for sure that you people would leave the company within 2 years, so they don't appraise you folks well.
5. The testing team is composed of people who don't even know the product at all.
6. Pressure comes onto the development team, and that too on the outstanding workers who work a lot to ensure the betterment of the product.
7. No performance bonus and deserved increment is received.
8. If you are a person who wants to just do mundane and brute-force work, then [this is] the right place for you because you will be appreciated.
