Two-thirds of phone screens were conducted. One of them was with the hiring manager. Poor scheduling was a concern. Some questions were not suited for a senior-level candidate, including management scenarios, dealing with engineers, and addressing performance issues.

Pros: Oracle leadership appreciates the team and tries its best to support them in terms of training, etc. They have proper systems and processes in place to organize and control such a large company, which is quite amazing.
Cons: Oracle is a little behind in their cloud game.
They have some great offerings in the database space, and they have very competitive offerings in the cloud space.
They are making big investments in cloud and AI, hoping that they will disrupt the cloud and AI space.

Pros: I can give my thoughts about Engineering. If you are in the Database organization, it is pretty stable. But the Middleware team is going through many changes. The Applications team is also reasonably stable. However, most of the new investment and focus is going into the new Cloud division.
Cons: If you are not in the Cloud division, it is hard to grow in your career.
