Process

At home, I registered on the Oracle careers website, with the link obtained through Naukri. This was followed by a timed online test consisting of some MCQs about Java, SQL, and OS concepts, and a small, simple coding test. I took the test from home and cleared it, after which I was called by Oracle HR for in-person rounds.

I went to the JP Nagar Kalyani Magnum Oracle building at 11 AM. The campus was expansive, the building imposing, the interiors excellent, and the office location was good.

1st round: This covered basic Java, basic Data Structures and Algorithms, and a little about Spring, Hibernate, and SQL. There were two interviewers.

2nd round: Manager round. This was a negative experience. The manager cross-questioned me so many times that I wondered if they were recruiting for debating skills or technical expertise. He asked why I was looking for a change. I replied that I wanted good coding work, but he countered that even in Oracle, I might get support work. It felt like their vacancy had already been filled, and I was hesitantly interviewed just for the sake of it.
