I have been through 3 processes with Oracle, from technical support to software engineering.
The interviews have to, yes or yes, last an hour, so prepare for many filler and trivia questions.
The technology they specialize in is Java, although they mentioned to me that they could consider engineers in other technologies. All questions were focused on Java because that is what they know and use within the company.
In SW interviews, teams evaluate differently. You might get an easy/medium algorithm, or no coding at all and just questions.
Many positions say they are for SW, but in reality, it's just technical support.
In general, there is a noticeable lack of organization. In my last interview, an interviewer was totally informal, they even had me solve an apple and orange riddle.
I felt a low professional and technical level, and also that they have had to hire less talented people from other companies in the GDL area with less prestige to fill the positions.
I recommend asking recruiters about teams based in the USA; they have better technology, are more technically demanding, and much more professional.
