The process began with a 30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager. This consisted of getting to know each other and for the hiring manager to go through the position.
The second interview was a technical screening that lasted about an hour. It started with roughly 30 minutes of general discussion about development, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, etc. The second half involved a live programming problem where I shared my screen, could use any editor I wanted, and worked through a programming problem.
The final interview was an entire day of five interviews over five hours, with a one-hour break in the middle. The first was with someone not on the team at all, so it consisted of general behavioral questions. The rest were with members of the team I applied to and were all technical discussions and reviews of my experience; there was no coding in these interviews, though I hear that is rare.
The entire process took about a week from the phone screen to the final interview, and I received a verbal offer one week after the final interview.
