The first round was a Hiring Manager round. He asked me my favorite CS topic. I said Database Systems.
He asked questions related to distributed and database systems. He expected me to write the code for Consistent Hashing.
Questions
You have a university student system to be developed. Draw the ER diagrams, explain why SQL or NoSQL, explain how sharding is done, how partitioning is done. And write the algorithm to ensure that the database partitioning is scalable.
