Oracle provides a great work-life balance, almost tipping the scale towards life rather than work. As a large company, it offers opportunities to work in different technology areas.
Upper management (at least mine) is clueless in setting the vision/strategy.
There is a lot of politics, which may be the case in any large company.
Oracle seems to be heading towards a Comp Associates-like holding company strategy of growth-by-acquisition rather than organic growth by building innovative products.
Hire better business development people at the top to define the vision and strategy. Strong engineers and architects don't make for strong visionary business leaders.
I applied online for the QA Engineer position at Oracle. After some email communication with the recruiter, I received a technical phone interview from the hiring manager. It involved project discussion followed by technical questions.
I was already an Oracle employee in Brazil and applied for jobs in different product development teams at Oracle HQ through internal iRecruitment (which is also available externally at http://irecruitment.oracle.com). I got contacted for some of tho
The process is quite simple, depending on the team and position you are interviewing with. I met with three teams at Oracle HQ in Redwood Shores in a single day. I also had lunch with an alumnus of my school. The whole process was very smooth. HRs w
