Pros
  1. You get a very good offer.
  2. You are given simple tasks.
  3. You can have a peaceful life with good work-life balance if you are in the right team.
  4. Lesser layoffs compared to US counterparts.
  5. Outpatient and insurance facilities.
  6. There is no onboarding as such for newer employees, which creates a lot of pressure.
Cons
  1. No major hikes. Negotiate maximum initially.

  2. Your visibility is almost zero unless you work really, really hard. It is difficult to get those kinds of tasks because there are a lot of people in most organizations.

  3. Some toxic teams harass freshers and new team members.

Advice to Management

People here think they are really superior because of the brand name. But most of them are not exposed to the tech world outside and use ancient tech. Many have been in the company for more than 10 years, so they are deprecated. Time to upgrade yourself.

Frequent re-orgs and layoffs are also big setbacks. The efforts of many are almost reset with such re-orgs.
