Don't see any pros. The tech they work in is all internal, be it source control, frameworks, etc.

I was asking for a 2-week work-from-home extension to take care of my newborn baby. My manager did not approve my request, even after a 1-hour discussion. It was very disgusting and pathetic.

There is no HR to talk to in case of a team issue; the manager is the only go-to person.
Please time your yearly hikes and have an HR team for internal team issues.
