Forward Deployed Software Engineer Interview Experience - Washington, District of Columbia

Process

A recruiter reached out to me. We chatted about myself, what Palantir actually does, and the difference between a Software Engineer and a Forward Deployed Software Engineer. The former builds out the core products, while the latter is client-facing and builds out products according to the specific project/client.

Then, I had two phone interviews over a month with FDSEs who were pretty cool. I received the onsite interview invite less than a week later and went onsite a week after.

I had three interviews, each about 45 minutes long, and then lunch with an engineer. I thought I did really well, but I was rejected 7-9 business days later.
