Despite receiving a good score on the technical assessment, confirmed by the recruiter, the recruiter eventually ghosted me. This reflects an extremely toxic culture with zero consideration for candidates.
To be honest, I looked forward to interviewing with this company as they are known for interesting and tough interviews. The recruiter (name available if needed, but won't be posted publicly) confirmed the tech assessment went well and stated they wanted to move forward, this was a few weeks ago. The job posting remained active, I then received a canned ATS rejection, and the recruiter (with whom I had exchanged several messages) ghosted me.
Dear Palantir,
I did not fail your technical challenge (your own words), yet you treated me extremely poorly. Given that there are many opportunities elsewhere (perhaps fewer "cool problems" than your firm, but with actually decent HR and culture), I am no longer looking forward to your brand or the "challenging problems" that you solve. I am done considering you for future employment and will be unsubscribing from your engineering blog. You are more arrogant than you are desirable (and you are quite desirable).
Bye.
