I spoke with a recruiter at a career fair who had reached out to me. My resume led to a 90-minute coding challenge. I solved one problem correctly but did not quite finish the second, although I believed I had the right approach.
Despite this, I received an email for a phone screen, on which I will provide updates shortly.
The coding challenge was relatively difficult but manageable. Most applicants could likely solve the problems if they were assigned as homework; the real challenge was the time constraint.
I appreciated that they are still considering me for the next steps, even though I know I didn't get both problems entirely correct. I see this as a positive indicator of their recruiting process.
Both questions were more problem-solving based, not data structure heavy at all.
