September 1, 2012
Positive ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Applied for the job using a posting on Glassdoor. Was first contacted by a recruiter who wanted to know salary details from the first go.

He set up a phone interview with the manager, which went well, and I was then invited for an on-site interview.

The interview was entirely technical:

  • NAT
  • Active vs. Passive FTP in NAT
  • IEEE 802.1x
  • RADIUS protocol
  • Routing protocols like OSPF, RIP, etc.

Questions

OSPF DR election process:

What happens if the connection is like this?

Which router will become the DR?

R1------------------------R2 | | | R3 R4 | | | R5
