Horrible place to work. Little to no WLB. People will backstab you

Pros
  • Fortune 500 company
  • Somewhat decent pay
Cons
  • No mentorship or growth opportunities.
  • Colleagues will backstab you by complaining to your manager instead of coming to you with their feedback. Helping someone means that because you are helping them, the business is impacted, which is unacceptable.
  • Collaboration is frowned upon. If you ask for help that's too much, then it's held against you if you aren't a favorite on the team.
  • Work-life balance isn't taken seriously. "Unlimited PTO" is an illusion for most people, while other people are given the luxury to take weeks off every other week while others are not.
Advice to Management
  • Stop the favoritism and hold people to the same standard.
  • Actually invest in the people you hire and help them grow; see people as people and not as machines.
  • Look for the positives and improvements in people, rather than micromanaging and looking for reasons to put them down. Value their effort and long hours, rather than lying to them and then noting down points to be used against you in the future.
