Initial call with recruiter went well. The hiring manager call was set to be 45 minutes. On the day of the call, they emailed saying the hiring manager was pulled into meetings and needed to shorten the call. They joined late and ended in 20 minutes without asking any managerial or technical questions. They asked a super high-level question about my current experience and any projects. It seemed they had already decided not to move forward and conducted the 20 minutes out of formality. This was an unprofessional approach. I received a vague email from the recruiter afterward saying they would not move forward and could not share any reasons.
