The interview process was divided into four parts, all of which were conducted online or over the phone.
First, I received a phone screening from one of Paycom's recruiters. I was asked basic information about my resume, my interest in Paycom, and my salary expectations.
Next, I completed a simple exam through HackerRank, consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions. These questions covered topics such as HTTP protocols, JavaScript syntax, static code analysis, and try-catch blocks.
After completing the exam, I was contacted a week later by the recruiter and scheduled for a technical interview with the Hiring Manager. During this interview, I was asked how to implement a hash map to look up areas of a circle for a given radius. I was also asked to write a function to determine if two items in an array added up to a given sum.
Finally, a week later, I was scheduled for a fourth interview. This interview was less technical. I was asked what software system I would build if I had limitless resources and what types of software would be needed to build that system. I was also asked about some items on my resume.
Given a sorted array, determine if there are two numbers that add to a given sum.
