The phone interview went great. I learned a lot about the company and culture from the recruiter who contacted me. Then, I was asked to complete an assessment. This is where the process became fishy.
I was told my score by my recruiter after emailing them several times, and it was a convenient 65%. When I asked if I could get a copy of the graded assessment to see which questions I missed, everyone I contacted, including the HR department, gave me the runaround.
I believe the assessment is an excuse to disqualify candidates they don't wish to move forward with and that it doesn't actually predict how good a candidate can be.
