Reasonable job and compensation. Fun work environment.
Not racially diverse outside of Asians.
People will say and behave inappropriately out of ignorance. People openly discuss their personal business, such as dating histories, divorce, custody issues, and DHS involvement. In fact, a white girl on my team told another white girl, "I have someone for you. I think y'all will be great together. Don't worry, he is white."
Yep, these all happened.
Educate staff on cultural competency and respect.
I am Black, and a white girl dipped her hand in my natural hair. Due to the demographics and internal politics, I did not feel comfortable going to HR. This violation still haunts and angers me.
