Here are the five rounds for the data engineering interview:
One of the Senior Managers rescheduled the interview just two minutes before the call. Even when we spoke on the call, he joined ten minutes late. That's super unprofessional to talk to. He repeatedly interrupted while I was speaking, which left such a bad taste. I was expecting a person with so many years of experience would have good communication skills, and his words were demeaning.
If the meaning of cultural fit is to test if a person can work for horrible bosses, then yes, I failed it. Had they even offered me the role, I wouldn't have taken it, given that I would have had to work with him.
To add to that, the HR was super unresponsive. Even after regular follow-ups, there was no response for approximately two weeks. Then, they sent me an automated email of rejection.
This is the worst interview experience (from a big company like PayPal) in my seven-plus-year career.
Mostly around medium-level Python and medium-to-hard-level SQL questions, and data modeling rounds.
