There were two interviews.
The technical questions were not that hard compared to the interviewers.
I gave an answer that worked, but it was not accepted because it was deemed too easy.
Next, I was asked to write a query, and I provided a solution using a correlated subquery. Unfortunately, the interviewer did not seem to understand it, so they asked me to rewrite it using a standard subquery. Following that, I was asked to implement an MS Word fill feature, which I had no knowledge of and no interest in exploring. It felt like a waste of time.
It would be beneficial if interviewers understood what they were actually asking during the interview. Why can't the interviewer consider how their question works or try it out themselves to see if it truly functions, especially if they feel it's "iffy"?
Based on this experience, I have no plans to return to PayPal in the future.
