Programming assignment. HR based outside Singapore. All forms submitted electronically. Long background check process which overran the intended start date.

I was deliberately asked to complete an assignment in a technical language with which I was not familiar, within 48 hours. The interviewer made it clear that this was to test my ability to pick up new technologies.

I just love being part of PayPal for its culture.Cons: I can't think of anything except that 3 days in the office is mandatory, which is hard to meet considering Bangalore's traffic. People are not in the habit of working from the office anymore, so 3 days are unproductive. Alternatively, people have to work late in the evening on those days to compensate for time wasted in the name of collaboration in the office.
