I wouldn't interview with PayPal ever again. This interview experience is beyond ridiculous.
Initially, I had a recruiter screening call, and it went well. After that, the first technical screen was scheduled. The questions were simple and medium LeetCode coding problems. I wrote optimal, working code, including binary search, and answered all questions. A couple of days later, I received a rejection with the feedback: "lacks basic skills in DSA and basic search algos."
I asked the recruiter to review the video recordings of the interview, stating the feedback was false. This successfully got me another chance for one more technical screen. However, in the next interview, I was given a basic LeetCode easy question to code on HackerRank, which I completed without any difficulty. The interviewer then asked me not to run the code and didn't think much of it at the time.
Additionally, the interview was initially scheduled for 45 minutes but went over 2 hours. The interviewer was very unprofessional, stating I should work for FAANG, not a company like PayPal.
After going through all this, I received another rejection (not surprised), with the reason being that test cases didn't pass and the code was poor. I was beyond shocked at how low these companies could go, just wasting others' time and efforts.
