Very bad experience. PayPal needed to promote an internal candidate, hence they conducted an interview for auditing purposes. Their goal was to interview someone and reject them, to offer the internal candidate the position. After the interview, instead of letting me know the feedback, they sent over my resume to another team to repeat the same process.
I was confused and asked the recruiter who reached out to me as to why this was happening and if he had the feedback from the previous interview, but received no answers. I finally had to reach out to the other recruiter who was handling that position. She called me and informed me that, unfortunately, they had filled the position with an internal candidate.
How unprofessional of PayPal to waste others' time just to promote an internal candidate.
They organized a half-day interview where the manager and architect of the team asked no questions. Instead, they let me ask questions, if I had any. This clearly shows that they are doing this for auditing purposes. I will recommend candidates to be careful before applying.
