The interview consisted of questions on Object-Oriented Programming, PHP, SQL, and Linux commands. They primarily sought a candidate proficient in PHP and SQL, which I was not. I had previously edited some PHP content but had never developed anything. In SQL, I had taken a one-semester class, most of which I had already forgotten. The question session was conducted over the phone and lasted half an hour. Some of the questions included:
Why does Java require "static" in the main function?
What is a static function?
Give me a SQL statement that returns the count of the number of rows.
How do you sort by and group by?
What are the following Linux commands: more, less, pipe, grep (also a problem involving grep)?
What are double $ in PHP?
What are sessions in PHP?
What are outer and inner joins in SQL?
