A giant in the payment industry, this company works at a very, very large scale. There are lots of opportunities for career growth if you land in the right org and team to work on some really learning-oriented and challenging software problems. Work-life balance is great. Compensation is fair using the fixed portion, but through RSU/incentives, it goes very high.
Changing teams is not easy if you do not have a personal connection.
They are not so open to using any technology that a developer wants, but they are limiting to approved tech stacks only. They also work a lot on custom stacks.
It is important for any employee to get continuous learning. Working in the same team for a longer time reduces the learning curve. If you make changing teams so tough that the employee has to go through fresh rounds of interviews, as if they were an external candidate, it is not fair. You should look at employee performance.
If an employee prepares to crack the interview to change projects, the same will also enable them to change companies for better benefits.
