I have worked at HCL, NetApp, and VMWare.
I like PayPal the most.
I have completed 1 year at PayPal, and this is my first review.
PayPal provides a very good package. - First and foremost.
My team has good work-life balance. I am not sure about other teams. Nobody cares what others do. The team follows Agile with a 2-week sprint.
Flexible office timings. Nobody cares at what time you log in or log out. Work from home option. Good support from my manager and team for higher education (I completed M.Tech part-time).
Very good transport facility. (They have scheduled timing shuttles and also door drops if you stay late) - This is awesome.
Free snacks (usual tea/coffee vending machine, biscuits, plain vanilla & chocolate cakes, Tropicana, Real, and Appy juices, Heritage Badam milk in all flavors :)). Recently, they started a healthy campaign and provided a few healthy foods for a short span (peanuts, dates, buttermilk, sprouts, bananas, and other healthy snacks).
Annual events celebrated by PayPal are awesome.
Very good gym with a trainer. Gym attached with restrooms for bathing (includes towel, shampoo, body wash, coconut oil, and a safe locker).
Play area - Shuttle badminton - 2 courts. I play for 2 hours every day.
Bollywood dance classes.
They also arrange guitar classes, a running club (3-month batch). Some kind of club for people interested in photography, music, and singing.
I don't have anything to complain about as of now. Waiting for my appraisal cycle. I will come to know the real face of my manager soon :)
Their choice of food vendors...
Lunch is the only thing I hate at PayPal.
You are doing great. Please look into food issues.
6 rounds of interview * Telephonic screening * First round: Algorithm for a board game, and simple Java questions * Second round: Data Structures (linked list and tree) * Third round: Design-related questions * Fourth round: Manager round * Fifth ro
I attended the online test but didn't receive further progress mail. At least they could have sent me a rejection mail. The first round was comparatively easy, though. My friends got into further rounds.
The interview covered both testing and development knowledge. It wasn't too heavy on data structures and algorithms, but nowadays, quality engineers are expected to be proficient in DS and algo. A good understanding of the full stack of applications
