I thankfully didn’t get laid off.
I now have the looming threat of being laid off because the CEO said the layoffs happened without regard for performance or impact to teams. Some very high performers with ownership of projects were let go without warning in a 7% layoff at the beginning of 2023. Happy new year.
The CEO and senior leadership should bear the burden of making less money, not the people working paycheck to paycheck.
