They sent me a timed coding project. I was expected to complete the entire project in their online IDE.
There were many coding questions, all to be done sequentially. It was probably the worst interview experience I have ever had.
The coding environment was absolutely terrible. In order to compile and run your code, it would take at least 30 seconds. I would then wait 30-60 seconds to discover I forgot a semicolon, then recompile to realize I spelled something wrong, and so on.
I generally like to code and compile frequently to find mistakes, but this was impossible in this environment. Even if there was a syntax error, it would run all twelve tests or so before it would let you know it didn't even compile.
There was no human interaction; it was just the coding test.
