Software Engineer Interview Experience - United States

Process

Two hours for the first round. This felt like a very costly investment with respect to time. If you have better companies to interview with, definitely skip this one.

The first round was a technical deep dive where they wanted to talk about a project you’re working on at your current company. They expected slides and all. The interviewer kept grilling me, and honestly, I felt like they were learning more from me.

The second round was a coding round. Their question wasn’t typical LeetCode style, but the person explaining it was so unsure and barely gave me any feedback as I tried to fathom what they wanted me to code. I got the output they wanted, but it turns out that wasn’t good enough.

This felt like a bunch of tech bros who think they’re better than everyone else. I would never want to interview here again.

Questions

Technical deep dive of a work project.

Some banking-related algorithms that only they understand.
