The whole interview process was long but a very positive experience for me. I wasn't in a hurry, so all 5 interview rounds took a couple of weeks.
Round - Initial HR screening: An initial introduction to the company. You will be asked to present your biggest achievements and share your motivation for a career change.
Round - Hiring Manager: A discussion about my past projects. My manager was interested in how I think about problems and how I find solutions. This round was mostly to clarify if I would be a good fit for the applied role.
Round - Technical Case: At first, I had to provide a deep technical explanation of the problems I was solving in my previous job, explaining why certain technologies were used.
Then, a theoretical technical problem was presented. You won't write any code in this round, but you need to understand the presented problem, gather all functional and non-functional requirements, and propose and design a solution. The interviewer was friendly, and the whole round seemed like a technical discussion between two engineers.
Round - Technical Knowledge: I was applying for a frontend-related position, so technical questions from the frontend field were asked. Mostly open-ended questions. No questions about data structures and algorithms were asked. All questions were relevant, and it was a nice and friendly discussion.
Round - Coding Session: 45 minutes of live coding. You will be asked to prepare your favorite IDE and do a screen share.
The coding task was not difficult; you just cannot get stuck. You are allowed to use Google for help. Good communication and technical decision-making are needed to pass this round.
After each round, I received an update from HR and preparation for the next steps. I was always informed about what was happening. A very nice experience overall.
