Engineering Manager Interview Experience - Toronto, Canada

Process

Had a call with the hiring manager, followed by a technical discussion. This was then followed by a two-hour coding session with engineers and the engineering manager. I didn't get proper feedback from the hiring manager on why they weren't proceeding, even though the hiring panel found the code developed in 90 minutes to be highly modularized. The test results for three tests were a little off. I couldn't spend time debugging in 10 minutes without any pointers or requirements where the solution was off. Overall, I felt the hiring team was looking for an exact solution, and the hiring manager gave conflicting views on the interview assessment.

Questions

Presented with a coding exercise which was relatively easy to solve. Can use any IDE/Language to solve it? The total session is for 2 hrs.
