Software Engineer Interview Experience - Mountain View, California

September 1, 2022
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

This company thinks they are in the FAANG category.

The interview process starts with a 1-hour OA. Then, two technical coding rounds. If these two rounds are positive, then four to five additional rounds follow.

Six to seven rounds for a non-FAANG company is excessive. The feedback process after the first two rounds is poor. While the interviewers were okay and acted friendly, the process needs a lot of improvement.

Like other reviews mentioned, the interviewers are rigid and do not take standard libraries into consideration. They also do not consider any answer besides what they were expecting.

Questions

OA was HackerRank.

Two technical rounds had medium coding questions.
