They were very friendly and kind. I wasn't hired, but they were very courteous throughout the whole time.

The guys explained concepts well, and they comped food and travel, which I was very thankful for.

Pure Storage Work Experiences

Challenging work, unlimited Nerf funs, 80s video arcade, and smart people!

Pros: I've worked at half a dozen big and small companies in the valley. Pure is by far the most functional engineering organization I've encountered. This is what you get when you mix very smart people who are committed to building products that do incredible things with execs who know how to disrupt big markets.

Cons: Lots of fast-paced work sometimes puts pressure on work/life balance, but the company is aware of this and trying to keep expectations reasonable.

Many talented engineers and transparent decisions

Pros: Growth is one word that often follows this company, but the company has many other aspects that make it a good workplace. I think most important decisions are widely shared and discussed openly. The company has superb early engineers, which has influenced engineers hired afterwards.

Cons: Could this company retain its top talent? The company seems to try hard to retain them, and I just wish them to be successful because I am a relatively new hire. Also, assigning new engineers to the right positions with appropriate compensation would be critical for the continued success of the company.
